YOSEMITE WEST — November 2, 2026. Mariposa County has launched a utility cost-of-service study for Yosemite West covering its water, wastewater and road-maintenance systems.
Why the review began
The county says Yosemite West water rates have not been changed since January 2006 and wastewater rates since June 2004. Rising operations costs and aging equipment prompted a consultant study of future service needs.
Who is affected
The district serves approximately 235 water and wastewater connections, and the county identifies 340 parcels subject to road maintenance assessment. A district rate study is not by itself an adopted new charge.
What residents should track
The county’s special-district page explains its public-finance consultant’s review and outlines infrastructure deficiencies. Owners should follow the county Board of Supervisors for any required notices, hearings and final decisions.
